Credits and the nature of the images
Photographs of interiors, the portrait, the sketch and the decorative painting studies come from the archives of the House. The photographs illustrating the series on the great styles document period rooms, not works by the House. The site contains no computer-generated imagery.
Personal data

Data collected: the information you enter in the contact form (name, email address, location and nature of the project, message). Nothing is collected without your knowledge.
Purpose and legal basis: replying to your enquiry and, where relevant, preparing a proposal. The legal basis is your own approach and the legitimate interest of the House in answering it.
Recipients: Richard de Barentin, and Netlify, Inc., which hosts the site and delivers form submissions. Data may therefore be processed in the United States ; that transfer is governed by the standard contractual clauses of the data processing agreement entered into with the host. No data is sold or transferred for advertising purposes.
Retention: three years from the last exchange, then deletion; ten years for the accounting records of commissioned projects, as required by law.
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise them, write to contact@richarddebarentin.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris ; cnil.fr).
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and no analytics trackers. Only strictly technical cookies may be used by the host for security and for the delivery of form submissions. Should an analytics tool be added later, this section and a consent banner will be required.
External links
The site links to third-party accounts and websites, in particular Instagram. The House exercises no control over their content and accepts no liability for it.
Quotations, services and disputes
Nothing is sold online on this site. Services are subject to a written quotation, accepted before any work begins; fees, deliverables and timings are those of the quotation. In the event of a dispute, a complaint may be sent by email or by telephone. Failing an amicable solution, a consumer client may refer the matter free of charge to a French consumer mediator ; the details of the competent mediator are provided on request.
Accessibility
The site is built to be navigable by keyboard, with AA-level contrast and respect for reduced-motion settings. Any difficulty can be reported by email.
